A brisk, but bright day. Good for unfurled flags.
The marchers were marshaled, then began their parade around the local green.
The service itself was short, respectful, and somber, but not depressing - outside of the very low turnout. A strange juxtaposition in a country that can't tolerate someone taking a knee, but neglects to take the time to honor the very servicemen that risk their lives and who's honor they claim to be protecting.
One wonders what memories they have to bear.
And to share.
Finally, in these fractious times, a reminder of what not to repeat.
